Chicilon Media, in collaboration with Gene Solution Joint Stock Company—a company staffed with leading scientists and experts in genetics, medicine, technology, and genetic counseling—organized cancer screening tests for all employees and their family members. 80% of the 368 employees and their families participated in the screening.
The screening process utilized the Once Sure test package, which surveys all 17 genes related to 15 types of hereditary cancers, using Spot Mas technology. This technology is highly effective in detecting the five most common cancers in Vietnam (liver, lung, breast, stomach, and colorectal cancer), with a sensitivity of 73.9% and specificity of 95.9%. The technology also boasts advantages such as non-invasiveness, high accuracy, and the ability to detect multiple types of cancer from a single blood sample.

The cancer screening initiative received positive feedback from employees and their families. Through this activity, employees and their families were able to get a health check-up and better understand their health status, thereby improving health management effectively.
According to a Chicilon Media representative, this initiative demonstrates the company's care for the health of its employees, especially in the context of cancer becoming a major concern for many. Early screening and detection can help employees take proactive steps in caring for themselves and making long-term plans for their health.
Cancer rates in Vietnam are on the rise, with approximately 115,000 deaths due to cancer annually, equivalent to 315 deaths per day. WHO puts Vietnam among the 50 countries in the second tier of the global cancer map (top 50 countries with the highest rates are in the first tier). For men, lung cancer has the highest incidence and mortality rate, followed by stomach, liver, and colorectal cancer. For women, the most common cancers are breast, stomach, and lung cancer.
The Chicilon Media representative stated that the company's culture is closely linked to prioritizing the health of all employees. From this year, the screenings will also include family members of the employees such as parents, spouses, and children, conducted at the end or beginning of each year. The company also entrusts third parties to continuously raise awareness and ensure health care for employees, creating a solid foundation for employees to work and live happily, and to promote business development.
