Chicilon Media CEO Receives Annual Salary of $1

Mr. Guo Zhi Feng, the founder, Chairman, and CEO of Chicilon Media Vietnam, has declared that he will only receive an annual salary of $1, while all senior, mid-level managers, and employees of the company will not face any reduction in salary or other benefits.

The company also commits to no layoffs or salary cuts and has introduced a "special bonus worth 10 billion VND" policy to motivate its employees. Specifically, this fund will be used to reward sales staff and mid-level and senior managers who have made significant contributions to the company's growth.

"In the face of the international financial crisis, it is the responsibility of myself and the senior management team to lead Chicilon through difficulties and develop as well as to take care of our 498 employees (with an additional 130 employees recruited after Tet)," shared Mr. Guo Zhi Feng.

Moreover, to reduce costs and increase efficiency while motivating employees to work through the challenging period, the company encourages employees to work from home or cafes. The company also does not accept voluntary salary reduction requests from departmental directors and managers, or employees at any level.

Chicilon Media is one of the largest digital media platforms apart from television in Vietnam, with a daily influence on 30 million key consumers, annual revenue of 1200 billion VND, and profits and taxes of 700 billion VND. For three consecutive years, the company has been ranked among the Top 500 businesses with the best profits and taxes in Vietnam.

The company has created employment opportunities for over 370 workers and indirectly promoted employment for nearly 1,000 individuals in the fields of media, advertising, video production, graphic design, software development, and other sectors.
